LEARN MORE:

Drew leads several group classes each week, organizes incredible public and private events, and works thoughtfully with OTHER INSTRUCTORS around Des Moines and the US to help unify and build THE MODERN YOGA COMMUNITY.

Main Bio:

Drew is a passionate but humble yogi and a creative instructor who enjoys teaching in the moment. His goal is to take a unique approach to each group class with unscripted movement rather than using repeated stock commentary or "off the shelf" approaches. Although there are critical moments of repetition to build consistency,  each class is an entirely unique experience.

Holding high hopes to help each student identify their own experience of present moment awareness. Drew nurtures that seed of presence by helping each participant explore and dive deeply into their body and notice their subtle patterns.

Expect insightful conversation, clear instructions, consciously connected breath, and a mature and sensitive approach when offering guidance, alignment, adjusts, and assists. Once nurtured, he hopes that seed of presence will grow into a strong sense of self awareness, confidence, and ownership in each practitioners journey to their own personal practice.

Drew has loads of experience putting together events and leading students with a wide range of abilities. He has led packed classes every week at the downtown ymca since 2010 as well as annual classes for events like yoga in the park at grays lake. Needless to say you're in good hands and are sure to find a challenge or a healthy dose of inspiration no matter what your experience level may be.

I know just how confusing it can be for a new student to jump into yoga these days...

How do you know who to trust, where to spend your priceless time, what to wear, wondering if they will make you pray or hold hands with strangers... The modern yoga scene is downright scary for some.

If this is you, lets talk.  I have a few thoughts to share based on some serious years of exploration and would love to help you get going in a place that is best suitable to you. No sales pitch here, just questions and honest answers from a guy who has taken a ton of time to swim around the ocean that is todays yoga world.
